Recorded Webinar: Philanthropic Game Changer: Strategies for Donor Advised Funds

  • 19 Sep 2017
  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Back by popular demand!

Donor advised funds (DAFs) certainly aren’t a new philanthropic trend, but they are gaining momentum and, for better or worse, are grabbing headlines in the process. DAFs are quickly replacing the traditional family foundation as the must-have giving vehicle of the UHNW world. While most organizations are used to receiving distributions at an annual-fund level, DAFs are quickly becoming a factor in transformational giving. Fidelity Charitable Giving reported that DAF distributions of $1 million or more increased 27% in 2015. So how do prospect development professionals maximize grants from DAFs? Webinar participants will learn the basics of how DAFs operate, take a look at the different types of DAFs, assess the philanthropic profile of a DAF donor, review why DAFs are popular, and learn about strategies to cultivate DAF grants.

Questions will be collected during the recorded presentation and sent to the presenter, Lindsey Nadeau, to be answered. Her answers will be emailed to all registrants.

Presenter: Lindsey Nadeau, Associate Director, Presidential & Principal Gifts, George Washington University
